Bridgend Sports 28 vs Kenfig Hill 19

Bridgend Sports welcomed Kenfig Hill to the Bandstand looking to continue the good start to their season.   The Sports started strongly with some direct running putting pressure on Kenfig’s try line. Ethan crossed for Sports first try which was converted by Owain.  Kenfig Hill pulled one back but Sports continued to put pressure on Kenfig Hill who tried to shift the ball out wide, the ball player was tackled and a quick steal from Luke gave him an uncontested run in to the line.  This try was converted by Evan.  At the end of the first half the scores were 14-12 to The Sports.  Sports kicked off the second half and continued to play their exciting brand of rugby.  Some quick passing to the player in space meant that Zac was able to outpace the cover defence to score.  Converted by Cullen.  Kenfig Hill fought back with some determined pressure which found the Sports bunching together giving Kenfig Hill the opportunity to score their third try.  The game was sealed close to full time following a Kenfig Hill line out, the ball went loose over the try line and Rory pounced to score Sports fourth try.  Converted by Ethan.   A good performance by the Sports against tough opposition, the commitment in defence and the ruck gave Sports a strong platform to seal the win with some exciting running rugby.  Well done boys.
